ABOUT

I am a high school student who is continuously asking questions and seeking the answers.

Math has always been one of my favorite subjects, but I am also fascinated by how people make decisions and how the various institutions that make the world what it is today have developed. With the help of my project mentor, I decided to combine all of these topics to create an independent project: "The Mathematics and Implementation of Election Theory."Every day of fall term, I will be dedicating time to in-depth research on the many electoral systems, such as plurality, the Condorcet method, and instant runoff, in place around the world, including my school! Some of my project resources include "The Mathematics of Elections and Voting" by W.D. Wallis, "Mathematics and Democracy" by Steven J. Brams, and various trustworthy websites (the links of which I will post in my blogs).

This independent project is essentially a fall-term course, complete with an article, three papers, and a final presentation. By the end, I hope to have gained a greater understanding of election theory and the inner workings of the many voting systems and where they are used. On this website, I will be posting weekly blogs and working out different problems. Feel free to explore! I am so excited for you to join me as I continue my research!
